Gift Card Terms

No expiry, no fees, no funny business. Here are the rules, in plain English, from Betty.

What they are

The UBC Gift Card is a store credit you buy for someone else (or yourself, no judgment). It's delivered by email as a unique code the moment payment clears. They enter the code at checkout and it comes off their total.

Where they work

Gift cards can be redeemed against anything in our online store. Foils, kits, tools, cardstock, bundles, the lot. The only thing you can't buy with a gift card is another gift card (Shopify's rule, not ours).

How much they hold

Denominations run from £10 to £250. If a purchase costs less than the balance, the difference stays on the card for next time. If it costs more, they pay the difference at checkout.

How long they last

No expiry. No monthly fees. No sneaky depreciation. The balance sits there until it's used.

Discount codes

Automatic customer discounts (like BA15 for Shine Club ambassadors) apply on top of gift card use. Public discount codes (like NEWIN20) don't combine with gift card purchases beyond what's already on the card. If you're unsure, message us before checkout and we'll walk it through.

Refunds and cancellations

Gift cards are non-refundable and non-transferable once issued. If the wrong email was entered on purchase, contact us within 24 hours and we'll help re-issue it. Treat gift card codes like cash. If someone forwards the code or a screenshot, that code is redeemable by whoever has it.

Lost or stolen codes

If a code is compromised, contact us immediately at info@uglybettyconfetti.com and we'll do what we can to freeze the balance. If the code has been redeemed already, unfortunately we can't recover the funds. Same as cash.

Shine Club and ambassadors

Ambassadors can gift codes to their community and community members can use them freely. Commission tracking uses the SHINE-NAME code, not the gift card. Gift card use does not affect ambassador commission on other purchases.

Fraud, misuse, and abuse

Gift cards purchased fraudulently or resold on marketplaces (eBay, Facebook, etc.) may be voided at our discretion. We monitor for bulk purchases and suspicious redemption patterns. If you're doing anything above board, none of this applies.

Changes to these terms

We can update these terms at any time. Existing gift cards will always be honoured at the original terms they were bought under, so if we change something, it applies to new gift cards only.
